Dartmouth, NS – Today Eastward Energy Inc. (Eastward), a wholly-owned subsidiary of TriSummit Utilities, is announcing the retirement of our President, John Hawkins, and the appointment of Chris MacAulay as President.
After 11 years at Eastward, and over 25 years in the energy industry, John has announced his decision to retire effective April 1st, 2026. Throughout his tenure as President, John has demonstrated exceptional leadership and an unwavering commitment to Eastward Energy’s mission and values. He played a pivotal role in developing and advancing Eastward’s position as a critical part of Nova Scotia’s energy industry.
As part of our planned succession, Chris MacAulay, VP Engineering, Construction, & Operations has been appointed President, effective April 1st. Chris brings over 20 years of extensive experience in the natural gas distribution business, including 18 years at Eastward Energy. He has a reputation for thoughtful leadership, operational excellence, and a strong commitment to organizational safety and performance. His leadership will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen Eastward Energy for the critical role that it will play in meeting the province’s energy needs.
